Update #1: October 7, 2013
The Orioles 40-man roster currently stands at 39 players with two players (Nolan Reimold and Manny Machado) occupying spots on the 60-day disabled list. Eight of those players will be eligible to elect free agency after the conclusion of the World Series. Reimold and Machado will have to be activated off of the 60-day DL five days after the conclusion of the World Series, which would bring the roster to 33. The organization essentially has seven "open" roster slots to utilize before making any decisions with regards to player options (Tsuyoshi Wada), tendering contracts (deadline is December 2nd), and setting the 40-man before the Rule V draft on December 12th.
