The last week of posts at Orioles Observer have been very optimistic, while also realizing that we are still very early into the 2012 season. But if last night's domination of the Yankees, spurred on by Jake Arrieta's outstanding 8 inning performance doesn't get you excited, I don't know what to say to you. A quieter story is the continued success of Orioles Observer favorite Bob Andino, who went 3-3 with a walk last night. He takes his excellent season north to Boston this weekend to hopefully wreak some more havoc on the Red Sox, who haven't seen him since he ruined their playoff chances on September 28, 2011. It will be interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets from the Fenway crowd. My guess is a not much of a reaction at all, considering you only see wine and cheesers at Fenway these days.
If the O's can take two out of three against the Red Sox, they will come home in amazing shape for a very tough home stand against the Rangers, Rays, and Yankees.
